NHS Induction
On May 25th, the introduction ceremony of new NHS (National Honor Society) members was held in ELC. 5 new NHS leaders were officially sworn in and 7 new members also officially joined NHS under the witness of principals, teachers and students. Under the leadership of Ms. Callender, Garnet & Gold Choir sang the national anthem of the People’s Republic of China. Our head of school Ms. Maldonado said in her speech that she was proud of the NHS and praised the NHS ceremony as the fullest affirmation of the previous NHS members. Since its creation, NHS has brought valuable impacts to school every year. The most important traditional part of the introduction ceremony for new members of the NHS is the lighting ceremony by the new officers. New president David Fang, vice president Eva Wang, secretary Eva Shen, treasurer Nicole Huang and historian Rachel Su lit the candles standing for Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character. NHS will start its new way in the new school year.
