Strategic Improvement at NCPA
Nansha College Preparatory is committed to a cycle of continuous improvement under the auspices of our status as a WASC-accredited school. We develop a five-year School Improvement Plan (SIP) aligned to the WASC reaccreditation cycle that is refined each year via faculty committees and with the input of a variety of stakeholders.
NCPA’s current SIP is composed of four goal areas. Each goal area has a series of targets as well as an action plan composed of discrete tasks to reach those targets. Targets and tasks have deadlines that range from one to five years, and targets may be changed or added as the school evolves to address the needs of its community but are always finalized at the beginning of each school year.
Goal 1: Mission, Vision & Commitments
Targets:
- Mission, vision, values and goals will be fully elaborated.
- Stakeholders will articulate statements describing how the school should operate; the vision.
- A common understanding of the school’s purpose and vision will be present.
- Stakeholders will understand and affirm their commitment to the school’s purpose and vision.
- The school will begin to create school-wide learner goals.
Goal 2: Curriculum and Assessment
Goal 3: Student Support Services
Goal 4: Instruction and EAL Support
