LAVA  Magazine Vol.4  

After four months of preparation, LAVA Vol.4 Magazine started the preliminary pre-sale on October 21st. As a student-led organization, LAVA was established in 2017. Students are in charge of all the work related to publication, including interviewing, writing, design, typesetting, illustration, editing, printing and advertising. The theme of this magazine is “Delta”. As the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet, “Delta” represents a change that fits with our current social environment. In addition, there are five sections in this magazine, namely “Pulao around the world”, “L talk”, “Lit”, “Lavapedia” and “Lab”. The first section, “Pulao around the word”, includes stories from worldwide NCPA alumnus and teachers during the pandemic. The second section, “L talk”, is made up by Covid-related stories from our current NCPAers and teachers. The third section, “Lit”, consists a variety of original English and Chinese literary works of our students. The fourth section, “Lavapedia”, reveals a series of mystery knowledge about five student-led organizations at NCPA. The “Lab” sectionintroduces a set of recommendations and reviews from NCPAers. Overall, this magazine is concentrated on the academic, social and emotional needs of NCPAers in a changing society.
