Dear Parents and Students,

The new school year is about to begin, and I would like to officially welcome you to NCPA!  Whether you are a returning student or a brand-new one, we are so happy to have you joining us for the 2018-19 school year! 

Lots of exciting things are happening at NCPA and it’s all for you!  Our students’ bilingual skills grow by leaps and bounds as a result of our program.  To be successful in the 21st Century, proficiency in Mandarin and English will make you a valuable contributor to the community and to your family.  Use and practice your English and your Chinese every day!  When teachers ask you to discuss what you are learning in your groups, both languages are fine to be sure you understand but then work to articulate what you know in English! 

This year, you are returning to a newly configured gymnasium, art building and dorm space for middle school and returning Grade 9 kids!  Within just a few weeks, we will be opening a brand-new Makerspace.  The Makerspace facility will be a cross-disciplinary working center where you and your classmates will practice design thinking and real, hands-on problem solving. 

This is NCPA’s seventh year and it promises to be an auspicious one!  Thank you for being part of our learning community!  Your learning, growth and success is our mission!
