Bradley Caliva has been teaching Instrumental Music for the past three years – all of it in the USA. For three years prior to coming to NCPA, Mr. Caliva taught Beginning. Instrumental Music and Intermediate Band at Dailey Middle School in Austin, Texas. While working on his undergraduate degree Mr. Caliva was an active performer on the Euphonium. He was named winner of the Texas Tech University Concerto Competition in 2013 and was runner up in the MTNA Young Artist Competition in 2012.

Chelsea Hill (USA) - Concert Choir, Women's Choir, Choral 9

Before moving to China in 2014, Chelsea Hill taught a variety of music subjects including chorus, piano, private voice, orchestra, music theory, and world music as Choral Director and World Music teacher at Osceola Fundamental High School in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has also worked as Assistant Stage Manager for the Florida State University Opera where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with highest honors. She is now pursuing Master of Mustic in Music Education at University of Michigan.

John SalminenJohn D. Salminen (USA) – Cadet Band, Wind Ensemble

John D. Salminen has more than 33 years of teaching experience, including 31 years overseas in Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Amman Jordan, Belgium, Indonesia and the U.A.E, and 13 years of Department Head experience. Prior to coming to NCPA, he was the Fine and Performing Arts Department Chair and Director of Bands at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi.

Naarah Callender began her teaching career at Asia Pacific International School in Seoul, South Korea, where she co-taught grades K-5 general music and grades 6-12 choir. She has been passionate about music since she was very young and loves sharing that passion with her students. Prior to teaching, Naarah taught choir with the Atlanta Music Project, a non-profit organization that brings high quality music education to the underserved youth of Atlanta, Georgia. When she is not teaching, Naarah loves exploring new cities and trying new foods.
